<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Long-term non-healing wounds do not pose an immediate threat to patients’ lives, but they can serve as entry points for infection, potentially leading to septic conditions and, consequently, a possible fatal outcome. Although this problem is not new, there is currently no adequately effective and minimally invasive treatment available. The aim of this literature review was to analyze scientific publications using the PubMed, Google Scholar, and eLIBRARY databases for the period 2020–2025, focusing on systematic reviews and meta-analyses to assess the prospects of using PRP therapy as a combined approach in treating long-term non-healing wounds, particularly pressure ulcer defects. The analysis revealed that the topic is globally relevant, as up-to-date meta-analyses have been published over the past five years, mostly in foreign sources. According to the analyzed literature, PRP is effective and safe and can be considered a potential therapeutic agent. The obtained data undoubtedly provide promising prospects for future research in this area of cellular regenerative medicine.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>PRP</kwd><kwd>пролежни</kwd><kwd>пролежневые дефекты</kwd><kwd>декубитальные язвы</kwd><kwd>длительно незаживающие раны</kwd><kwd>хронические раны</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>PRP</kwd><kwd>pressure ulcers</kwd><kwd>pressure ulcer defects</kwd><kwd>decubitus ulcers</kwd><kwd>long-term non-healing wounds</kwd><kwd>chronic wounds</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Raziyeva K., Kim Y., Zharkinbekov Z. et al.
