<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Thiazolopyrimidinium systems with a quaternized nitrogen atom are attracting increasing attention in the development of new anticancer drugs. Their unique chemical structure and potential biological properties make them promising candidates for the development of effective drugs. In recent years, researches have shown that these compounds have significant activity against various types of tumors due to their ability to interact with cellular targets, disrupting processes critical for the survival and proliferation of tumor cells. This review examines the current state of researches on thiazolopyrimidines, including synthesis, mechanisms of action, and evaluation of their antitumor potential, with an emphasis on the importance of the quaternized nitrogen atom in their biological activity.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>хинолин</kwd><kwd>кватернизованный атом</kwd><kwd>топоизомераза</kwd><kwd>цитостатики</kwd><kwd>липосомы</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>quinoline</kwd><kwd>quaternized atom</kwd><kwd>topoisomerase</kwd><kwd>cytostatics</kwd><kwd>liposomes</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">Работа выполнена при финансовой поддержке Министерства Здравоохранения Российской Федерации (государственное задание по теме «Создание препарата на основе наноформ инновационных синтетических противоопухолевых антибиотиков, включающих гетероциклические системы с кватернизованным атомом азота и стирильными фрагментами в виде конъюгатов с векторами адресной доставки к микроокружению опухоли»)</funding-statement><funding-statement xml:lang="en">The work was carried out with the financial support of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (state assignment on the topic «Creation of a drug based on nanoforms of innovative synthetic antitumor antibiotics, including heterocyclic systems with a quaternized nitrogen atom and styryl fragments in the form of conjugates with targeted delivery vectors to the tumor microenvironment»)</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Miller K.
